bulletin for 12/30
The bulletin for this week has now been
posted. Today is the 5th Sunday of the month. We will be sharing our customary
5th Sunday lunch following worship services this morning. What better way to
bring the year to an end than our gathering today. Following lunch we will have
singing and a devotional by Reid Carter back in the auditorium. A communion
service will be provided at 6:00 p.m. this evening for those who could not be
present this morning. As is our custom the contribution today will be going to
Southern Christian Home.
Today is the last day for the contribution box for hurricane relief in the
Northeast. The money will be sent to the Whites Ferry Road Church of Christ who
is overseeing the effort. Thank you for your caring.

The bulletin for this week has now been
posted. We will be hosting the next area wide men's prayer breakfast here at
the Dayton Church this coming Saturday morning beginning at 7:30 am. Men, we
need to show up here about 6:15 to begin the cooking. If you've never attended
before try it out. You'll like it!
Our annual chili cook-off is set for next Saturday evening as well beginning at
5:30 p.m. Dust off your best chili recipe and your crock pot and see how you
will do competing with some of the best chili in the state. If you have no
chili pot then just bring some crackers and come expecting a good time. This
will be an excellent time to invite friends who are not members here to come
and get acquainted with us.
